I love hosting parties in my home, but I just don't have the time to plan them anymore. About a year ago, I started working with a party planner to get things organized for the parties that I throw. It is amazing how much a party planner can do for you. When I did plan my own parties, I didn't have the time to compare rates for different services so I ended up paying more than I had to. If you have never hired a party planner to help you with an event, take a minute to read through my blog to find out how beneficial it is to do so.
When it comes to planning a party of any kind, it's best to always plan for the worst, but hope for the best. So, what can you do to ensure that your party isn't disrupted in any way? Here, you'll find a few tips to help you make sure that your party goes off without a hitch.
Rent a Party Tent
Party tents are one of the greatest security measures you can take when you're planning an outdoor party. Whether your party is in the spring or summer when rain can fall at any given time and the sun can be scorching hot, or a fall or early winter party when you never know if it'll be very warm, cold, raining, snowing, or what will happen the day of the party.
Party tents can be used to protect your guests from the sun, rain, wind, and even the cold. If cold weather is a possibility, you may want to upgrade to a tent with side panels. The side panels will block the cold very well. And, if it's going to be very cold, you can even lease a heater to keep things even warmer inside the tent.
So, the party tent rental is the first priority if the party is to be held outdoors — this way, even Mother Nature will have a hard time putting a damper on your fun.
Hire a Caterer
Preparing the food for a party of any size can be stressful. All that it takes is just one thing going wrong for the entire meal to be ruined. So, to eliminate the chances of you getting busy and burning your main dish, hire a caterer to take care of it for you. This way, you'll be free to take care of the many other things that will need to be done and you'll even be able to sit down and enjoy the food with the guests that you've invited.
Be Careful with Booze
If you're planning to serve alcohol at your party, be sure that you're carefully monitoring how much your guests have to drink before they drive home. If you notice that someone's had too much, find someone to give them a ride. It's best to have at least a couple designated drivers at the party to help intoxicated guests get home with their vehicles.
You can get through the planning process without losing your mind. Just remember, it's always better to be safe than sorry — party planning included.Share
